In the wake of his son Adam’s sudden and tragic passing, Rick Harrison, star of Pawn Stars, has shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. Adam, 39, tragically died of a fentanyl overdose in Las Vegas on Friday, leaving his family in deep mourning and shock.
Rick posted a touching message alongside a photo of himself and Adam enjoying a moment at a bar. “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam. 💔,” he wrote.
Laura Herlovich, a family representative, confirmed Adam’s death to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss,” Herlovich said.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Rick revealed that Adam’s death was due to a fentanyl overdose. “Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” Rick stated. “The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”

The news of Adam’s passing has prompted an outpouring of condolences from fans and celebrities alike. Donald Trump Jr. expressed his sympathy, writing, “I’m so sorry man.”
Corey Harrison, Adam’s brother, also honored his sibling on Instagram, sharing a nostalgic baby photo of them together. “Wax wtf I will always love you bubba,” Corey captioned the image.
Adam was Rick Harrison’s second child from his first marriage to Kim Harrison. Rick later married his second wife, with whom he has a son, Jake. Although Adam was not a prominent figure on the Gold & Silver Pawn show, he did work with his father.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports a 56.6% increase in overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids from January 2020 to 2021. The Drug Enforcement Administration classifies fentanyl as a Schedule II controlled substance, noting that it is about 100 times more potent than morphine. Even a small amount, less than a grain of salt, can be fatal.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Harrison family during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Adam.
