Some people are naturally inclined towards business. With determination, a willingness to take risks, and a desire to refine their skills, they can turn that talent into success.
One such budding entrepreneur is 11-year-old Seth from Utah. Instead of opting for the traditional lemonade stand, Seth decided to take a different approach, and his marketing savvy recently caught everyone’s attention.
Rather than selling lemonade, Seth set up shop near the pavement with a sign that read: ‘Ice Cold Beer.’
While some people found his venture adorable and praised his entrepreneurial spirit, others were alarmed by the idea of a minor selling beer. Concerned neighbors quickly alerted the police.
When officers arrived at Seth’s stand, they couldn’t help but laugh.
It turned out that Seth wasn’t selling alcohol at all—he was selling root beer. The word “root” was written in small green letters, while “beer” was prominently displayed, making his sign a clever marketing ploy.
The Brigham City Police Department admired Seth’s creativity, noting that not every child could pull off such a clever strategy.
Some people criticized those who called the police, but the department defended them, saying, “Our citizens should never feel ashamed or embarrassed to call us. They were just reporting what they believed to be a suspicious situation. No harm, no foul.”
In the end, the officers even bought some root beer for $1 and helped promote Seth’s business by sharing his story.
