Reflecting on their initial encounter through mutual acquaintances, Kate reminisced, “I actually went bright red when I met you and scuttled off feeling very shy about meeting you. William wasn’t there for quite a bit of the time initially, so it did take a bit of time for us to get to know each other.”

According to the documentary “The Day Will and Kate Got Married,” which aired in April 2021, they started as good friends, but one particular evening changed everything. During a student fashion show, Kate’s choice of attire caught the Prince’s eye, marking a turning point in their relationship.

“We were friends for over a year first and it just sort of blossomed from then on. We just spent more time with each other and had a good giggle, and realized we shared the same interests,” Prince William recounted, as reported by The Telegraph.

Their courtship garnered immense media attention, with Kate even making public appearances alongside the Royals, including attending events at the Royal Military Academy.

Despite the anticipation of a royal wedding, they faced a setback in 2007 when they decided to part ways. However, both Kate and William acknowledged that the break was beneficial as it allowed them to discover themselves.

They reunited in 2008, and William proposed to Kate during a trip to Kenya in 2010, presenting her with his late mother’s engagement ring.

Today, after three children and years together, their bond remains resilient.

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe shared insights into how the couple ensures quality time together, including occasional date nights at their local pub and cozy evenings at home, reminiscing about their university days.

Their enduring romance serves as a testament to their shared experiences and mutual affection, ensuring that their relationship continues to flourish.

Recently, the royal family attended the wedding of the Prince of Jordan. Kate dazzled in a stunning pink dress crafted by Lebanese designer Elie Saab, while the bride also opted for a gown by the same designer. As a tribute to William’s late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, the newlyweds departed for the reception in a 1984 Range Rover, specially customized for the queen’s visit to Jordan.

While the day appeared flawless, an incident caught the attention of many, leading some to brand William as ‘rude.’ Allegedly, he hurried Kate during her conversation with the bride, prompting her with a “chop, chop.”

Speaking to Fox, the author of “Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family” revealed that like any couple, William and Kate have their share of disagreements and silent moments.
